My name is Brian Vander Plaats, and I live in Orange City, Iowa with my wife Kim and four children.

By day I’m the Lead Developer at Vogel Paint, Inc. In this role I wear a number of hats – Developer, Project Manager, DBA, Business Analyst, and Application Administrator.  My team uses the ASP.NET / SQL Server stack to build interal applications for business users – primarily manufacturing related.

I’ve been a computer geek since 1986.  From ‘86 until ‘00 I was essentially a Mac guy, but switched to PC’s right before Mac’s became cool again.  Go figure.  Here’s a list of computers I’ve owned (primary):
